Bubba has added a new instrument to his repertoire--the trumpet! He couldn't wait to bring it home and blow into it (can't call it playing yet!)for us. Beginning band--oh, the joyful noise of it all. |
We've been covering Pickle's textbooks the old fashioned way--paper bags. We had to shop at whole foods just to get some though. |
Took this on a morning walk. There was not a cloud in the sky above Pike's Peak. I pretty much love where I live. |
Every day I drive past one of the many fields of these yellow wildflowers that are in bloom this time of year. They make me happy. They make my hubby sneeze. Those two are not related. |
This foot belongs to my adorable niece who was sporting these new shoes when we hung out last Friday. |
The owner of that cute foot. Here she is making a silly face while eating falafel for the first time. She loved it! |
After our lunch at Garbanzo's we did some quick shopping at Target. My 5 year old nephew was pushing his baby sister around. I loved this view. :0) |
Not to be left out, Pickle always makes sure I have a new self-portrait on my camera and phone. She took this last night. (smile) |
All of your pictures made me smile. Except for the photo of the flowers... that one made me jealous. We normally have pretty flowers and landscaping here in TX. This summer, however, everything is brown and crispy due to the extreme drought we're experiencing this summer.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful three-day weekend, too! Be blessed!!!
all your pics are so wonderful!! luv the little chunky foot stuffed in the sandal!!
ReplyDeleteand the wild flowers....make me smile!!!
oh those yellow wildflowers! i miss summer color...our drought has killed every bit of color we had, so depressing!
ReplyDeletei think all of our neighbor kids joined band this year, we have had a lot of "strange noises" coming from the hood lately!
:) have a great extended weekend!
Fun post! I especially love the photo of the flowers - gorgeous!! Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteWow great pictures! I'm a first time visitor from Life Rearranged. Looking at your pictures really makes me miss CO. Just moved from Denver to Texas a year ago :(
ReplyDeleteI closed my eyes and scrolled, then clicked and found your blog. I love pictures of nature and Pike's Peak looks beautiful. We are told to "make a joyful noise", right? Love it. And, oh, the memories of paper bag book covers. Thanks for sharing. I hope to finally get some pics up.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That purpose sandal is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!
